Paper Issues - Pinspire Me Mood Board

11:00

Hi everyone! Today on the Paper Issues Blog it's time for a new Pinspire Me challenge.
Here is the mood board...

I was inspired by the gorgeous flower plates on the top row. I sat and thought for a while how to make my own cut file but my Silhouette designing skills aren't quite up to that level yet! So I used a reverse image search on Google and found a clear picture of the plates. I imported a screenshot into Silhouette Studio and traced the image to make a cut file. I had to tweak a few little bits as the leaves were very intricate, but that's about the limit of my skills! Lol!

I searched high and low for black card, and this was my last piece!! So I pressed print and crossed my fingers that it wouldn't go wrong! Luckily it didn't, and I managed to create a beautiful cut of the flower.

I used Pink Paislee Oh My Heart to back the cut file and embellish my page. I wanted to keep my page fairly simple in order to showcase the gorgeous flower cut.

This photo of my youngest son and stepson is one of my favourites, so I converted it to black and white so it didn't clash with the yellow flower.

I chose a few colourful pieces of ephemera and stickers, and added my title along the bottom.

Paper Issues - Pinspire Me Mood Board

Hi everyone! Today on the Paper Issues blog it's time for a new Pinspire Me challenge!
Here is the gorgeous mood board...

And here is the layout I made!
I was inspired by those gorgeous colours in the bottom right hand corner, and the beautiful green circular glass window on the top right.
As soon as I saw the mood board I knew that this free Paper Issues cut file designed by Stacie would be perfect.
I wanted it to stand out so I chose this beautiful bright stripy woodgrain background from Shimelle's new Little by Little collection to mat it on. I absolutely love this paper so I wanted the colours to still be very visible.
I chose this photo of my cute little guy at the water park as the colours matched perfectly, and finally I embellished my page with Little by Little ephemera and stickers.

Paper Issues Pinspire Me Challenge

11:00

Hi everyone! I'm up on the Paper Issues blog today with a layout for this months Pinspire Me mood board challenge.

February's mood board is gorgeous...

I was inspired by the myriad of heart shapes and right in the middle, that yummy looking donut!

I used a free hearts cut file from the Paper Issues store and Crate Paper Heart Day papers, ephemera, chipboard, stickers and embellishments.

To stop the pink being too overwhelming, especially as I was using a photo of my boyfriend, I made sure I added some pops of green with the ombre paper and the Amy Tan thickers.

The donut ephemera went perfectly with the pink Dear Lizzy thickers to make the rest of the fun title.

To finish off I added a few splats of black ink and some black Bella Blvd heart stickers.
